Look What I Just Found!

Hey Guys! This was so awesome, but here’s the whole scenario:

I wanted to make a blog post about the Nokia Slide Series, so I first needed to do a tad bit research. So I went on Google and searched for Nokia Slide Series and well I didn’t have much luck, bit my eye blinked and I spotted the digits “6260″, which I didn’t know about. So I went onto GSM Arena and searched for “nokia slide” and well there were not four but five phones listed. Of course I was a bit astonished because of my finding, and I thought the fifth phone was years old. So I checked the Release Date of the phone and it said April 2009. So I kind of just found out about the Nokia 6260 Slide and boy, it’s like a follow up of the Nokia 6600 Slide which I’ve just purchased. I don’t think this fancy new phone is much better than the my phone, but the specifications are proven better than my 6600 Slide:

Release Date: April 2009
Weight: 114 grams
Messeging: SMS, MMS, Email
Space: 200MB Internal, (Up to 8GB)
Connectivity: GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA (10.2MB p/s)
Camera: 5MP
Video: VGA @ 15fps
Colors: Black, Beige
GPS: Yes
Battery Capacity: 950mAh

As you can see this phone is very capable of doing anything you like with it. Cheers!

Hey all my WordPress friends! Recently I’ve been receiving some cool comments on my blog so thanks all you kind hearted homies out there! I just wanted to say a few words about two of Nokia’s leading phones and their prices here in South Africa.

I’m going to start on the Nokia N96. As always with the awesome new phones, there are tons of stuff on YouTube advertising or just reviewing their experience with the handset device. But wow was the commercials for the Nokia N96. I stumbled accross one of the Nokia N96‘s Open To Anything commercials, the Lie Detector one. Here it is:
Nokia N96 Open To Anything – Lie Detector Commercial
I thought that commercial was beyond funny the first time I watched it. Any how, here’s the basic specifications of the phone:
Space: 16GB
RAM: 128MB
Connectivity: GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA (3.6 MB p/s)
Camera: 5MP
OS:Symbian 9.3, S60 rel. 3.2
CPU: Dual ARM 9 @ 264MHz
GPS: Yes
Battery Capacity: 950 mAh
The price of this phone at MTN is R639 ($63.90) pm x24.
The price of this phone at Vodacom is R439 ($43.90) pm x24.
The price of this phone at Cell C is currently unavailabe.

Now we are getting to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This phone is not the best, nor near the best, but is one of the latest additions to the Nokia family. It’s still good though, mind you, it’s not the cheapest of all things.
But let’s get right to it. I’m going to do the same thing with what I did with the N96, so here’s a commercial:
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic
Nice music in it. Here are the specifications:
Space: 81MB (Up to 16GB)
RAM: 128MB
Connectivity: GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA (3.6MB p/s)
Camera: 3.2MP
OS: Symbian v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5

GPS: Yes
Battery Capacity: 1320 mAh
The price of this phone at Vodacom is R199 ($19.90) pm x24.
The price of this phone at Cell C is R429 ($42.90) pm x24.

My Holiday

Yup, I’m back! I’ve had over 5 hours of mxit chatting and over 4 hours of listening to my Sansa Fuze. The drive back was 11 hours. Now let me give you some more details of what exactly I can remember…

Wednesday: Ummm… what did we do again? Oh ya. At 4:16 AM I woke up and took my Sansa, Wallet and phone out of charging, except my wallet, mind you. Then I (very tired) went to the car and saw my not so comofortable bed where I lay until my hot chocolate arrived. I drank it up and fell asleep. I woke up 4 hours later and we were halfway to our destination. 4 hours later we were in Port Elizabeth. We did a bit of site seeing before we met some friends & cousins at a restuarant. Then we drived to some friend’s house and stay there for a night.

Thursday: The next morning we just chilled a bit. Some time in the mid of day, we carried on our journey to East London, which was another three hours of driving. There we just watched TV and chilled out a bit.

Friday: On Friday I played computer whilst waiting for my cousins to come back from school. Afterwards we went to Kei Mouth which took one hour and planned to stay there for the rest of the holiday. That night we made a little fire on the beach, mainly hosted by me. Here’s a few pics of it:

Saturday: Saturday, I sunny resting day. I can barely remember anything we did on this day. I think we went for a long walk and watched my uncle fly one of those remote control aeroplanes.

Sunday: On this day we took a rough ride through the Transkei. We first needed to pass a river, so we took the ferry. I have a few pics of that too. Then we finally set our picnic spot right by the sea, next to the shipwreck of the Jackaranda

Monday: Today is Monday. We woke up at 4:00AM and went to the miserable car again. 13 hours later we arrived home. And here I am, typing this blog post.

whazzup bruvas? (lol, that’s new) So let me get right to it:

Yesterday, at about 18:14 my dad came through the doors and I went running to him. What a surprise? My Nokia 6600 Slide was in a box, which was in a packet which was in my dad’s hand. I danced at excitement for a moment. Once everything was configged, I downloaded MXit.

I will soon be upload some of my recently produced video clips to YouTube (once I find a 3GP to WMV converter) where you’ll see them at my YouTube channel

Nvidia GeForce 8 Series

Hey guys! Welcome to another one of my little blog posts. Today I’m just going to talk about Nvidia’s Graphics Processing Units (GPU)

They’ve always been making nice cards, and always the best. ATI has been a good competitor, and still is, but they just never pull out a better graphics card. I’m going to start at Nvidia’s 8000 Series. They never go lower than #400 cards. So the first card in the series was the Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS.
Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS
With it’s half o’ gig VRAM (512MB) using GDDR2, you won’t need the best motherboard to fit it’s PCI-e 16x slot, and you’ll be able to play the best 2008 games at a reasonable rate at a low price! That’s under $100!

Then we have the Nvidia GeForce 8500 GS:
Price: Under $100
VRAM: 256MB / 512MB GDDR2
Memory Clock: 800 MHz
Slot Type: PCI-e
Also a okay card, a bit better than the 8400GS. So an okay 2008 games card.

After that it’s the always lovely, 8600GT & 8600 GTS. There’s not much differents between the GT and the GTS. Though the GTS is slightly better. GT first, then GT:
Price: Under $150
VRAM: 128MB / 256MB GDDR3
Memory Clock: 700MHz
Slot: PCI-e 16x
Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT
—–Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS—–
Price: Under $200
VRAM: 256MB GDDR3
Memory Clock: 1000MHz
Slot: PCI-e 16x (with 1 power plug)
Both cards are average for upcoming high-graphical games.
Nvidia GeForce 8600GTS
Now it’s time for the best part of the 8 series, the 88′s. There are five versions of the 8800 series, 8800GT, 8800GT for Mac, 8800GTS, 8800GTX and 8800 Ultra. I’m only going to be talking about the first, fourth and last card. 8800GT, 8800GTX and 8800 Ultra.
Price: Under $250
VRAM: 512MB GDDR3
Memory Clock: 1500MHz
Slot: PCI-e 2.0
Nvidia GeForce 8800GT
——–8800GTX——-
Price: Under $400
VRAM: Up to 1GB GDDR3
Memory Clock: 2000 MHz
Slot: PCI-e 2.0 (with two power plugs)
asd
——-8800 Ultra——-
Price: Under $500
VRAM: 1GB GDDR3
Memory Clock: 2160MHz
Slot: PCI-e 2.0
ultra
Bye Guys! And get the 8800GTX!
